Each year, SJNCS announces a theme for the school year. Our theme for this school year is taken from the parable of the mustard seed in the Gospel of Matthew, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown, it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
While the parable discusses the planting of the seed and its glorious product, there is no mention of the tending and nurturing that had to have been provided. This “missing middle” is our focus this year connecting the two parts of our theme - Faith Planted - Grace Shared. We will focus on the how, when, where and why we care for the seed of faith planted in the lives of each member of our community.
If you would like to join SJNCS in our goal of nurturing our faith (and sport our t-shirt) please use the order form to the left.
Shirts should arrive in mid-October and you can designate where you would like to pick yours up.
Thank you!
