Favorite Saint: The Blessed Mother. Whenever Mrs. Sharkey faces troubles, she prays the Rosary and the Blessed Mother gets her through it. And, when she is not going through hard times, the Blessed Mother brings her comfort.

Mrs. Sharkey knew she wanted to be a teacher when she was in third grade at St. Joseph's School. Her principal walked into the classroom and handed her teacher a paycheck. She thought, "I could get paid to go to third grade!" The greatest joy that she receives from teaching is observing her students accomplishments and knowing the process that it took to get them to succeed. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends or taking a joy ride on an airplane. This past 4th of July her view of the fireworks was from a plane! The quote that she tries to live by is "Do as Jesus would do" and it has been her classroom rule. This rule covers everything in her classroom, and in her life, and she looks forward to sharing it with her students!
